Why Young Emerging Entrepreneurs?

Young entrepreneurs represent a powerful new demographic emerging in the small business world – twenty- through thirty-somethings – who are building out their own fast-growing enterprises, consulting practices, innovations, non-profits, and even less structured, but highly impactful movements both on and offline. Most start as home-grown ventures, but many quickly evolve into high growth startups, with outside investment, employees, and substantial customer bases.

Today's young entrepreneurs have grown up in a global, technology-enabled world allowing them to change the way business is done, industries function and companies interact with their own teams and customers. In short, they are changing the game for us all as they come of age. Millions of other youth aspire to be entrepreneurs. Even beyond this as a career choice, young people everywhere who are making long-term product adoption decisions are increasingly responsive to marketers who recognize and support their entrepreneurial spirit and innovative ways of seeing the world.

Young people in America are a force to be reckoned with. Globally, the opportunities to engage them are even greater. Companies that recognize young influencers have a huge advantage against their competitors in all industries. These young entrepreneurs are themselves marketers at heart, with impressive social influence and strong opinions when it comes to brands they trust. As their emerging enterprises continue to grow, so does their buying power along with that of their employees. Smart companies recognize their significance in the economy and are building brand recognition and loyalty with them early in their careers to reap big rewards over their lifetimes.

What is the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem?

The entrepreneurship ecosystem is a robust, quick-growing network of educational institutions, entrepreneur support organizations, associations, foundations, media, policy makers, non-profits, angels and venture financers committed to supporting the growth of and validation for entrepreneurship as a career path, thus making entrepreneurship a goldmine for job creation.
